Okonomiyaki (お好み焼き)

I was thinking about okonomiyaki recently.Darling said there is a okonomiyaki restaurant in the market.But I am a housewife (temporary),who always tries saving money all the time.Such a easy recipe,why should we go to a restaurant?
After the dumpling party last night,a coincidence was coming!This was the first time for wrapping dumpling by ourselves.Everyone was afraid of the dumpling wrapper would be broken,so didn't wrap too much filling.Oops,I have a lot of dumpling filling now.

Let's make okonomiyaki with dumpling filling!This is for 2 persons.
Ingredient A:100 g Plain flour,100 ml water,an egg,wheen salt and sugar (not essential,in the end we will use mayonnaise and okonomiyaki sauce for season with ).
Ingradient B:dumpling filling.
Extra ingredients:oil(for fried),mayonnaise and okonomiyaki sauce,some ground seaweed or dried laver (if you like it ),or dried bonito (these are for on surface),even mix the ground bonito in the paste. 

1.Stirring the ingredient A.

2.Put the ingredient B into the paste.Amount is as you like.But it would look like a real okonomiyaki with more ingredient B.

 Heat the pat with oil,you won't need oil if it is a non-stick pat.I used some oil this time,just for the looking of okonomiyaki.Oil makes it looks decilious.Keep mid to low heat or low heat,pour the paste,and spread evently.Then,waiting.Notice:don't use too strong heat,or your paste would be burned too much,but still uncooked inside.
When you can smell it,and try to check the paste from the edge,if it looks golden and a bit of hard.We can fried the other side now.


The paste is really difficult to turn with a turning shovel.It would be broken.So I turned off the fire,and covered a dish on the pat.


Turned the pat,let the paste on the dish.Then,turn on the fire again
and put the paste back to the pat.See,golden side,it means "almost finished".


When the paste is cooked,use the same way put it back on the dish.The Okonomiyaki is done!!

Put some mayonnaise and sauce on surface.How clever I am!I had a okonomiyaki with FREE.And darling said it tasted just like the one in the restauant.He he.
Of course,for saving money reason,it without ground seaweed.I am almost a vegetarian,so without bonito.Even okonomiyaki sauce,I made it also.
I was really too full today.This okonomiyaki for two persons is still too much for me.I would reduce some flour next time.Done.


Easy,free okonomiyaki!!
